One of the popular controllers used by VJs is the Korg nanoKONTROL, a versatile set of sliders, knobs and buttons that can be easily mapped to different setups. The goal of this more generalized setup is to provide a good standard VJ rig for this controller that includes 4 layers with playback / mixing / color adjustment, clip / page switching along with a set of both manual and audio reactive FX that can be individually enabled.

For this project the layout is split into three sections, with playback control on the left, mixing in the middle 4 sliders and audio reactivity on the right 4 sliders.

In the playback controls section the buttons under the 'TRACK' heading are connected to changing pages and moving to a random / previous / next clip on the current page. Below the 'MARKER' heading are buttons for adjusting the movie rate, direction and jumping the playback backwards and forwards.

The mixing section in the middle contains the controls for adjusting the opacity slider and luma cutoff knob for each of the 4 layers. Additionally each layer has 3 optional style FX (Invert, Mirror, RGB trails) that can be enabled using the S, M, R buttons corresponding to each layer.

The audio reactivity section is used to adjust the gain level for the FX enabled on the corresponding layer. Like with the mixing section the S, M, and R buttons are used to enable the Shake, Blur and Dot Screen reactivity. Above each slider is a knob for manually shifting the hue of the layer for changing the color palette of your visuals.
