The Light Surgeons interviewed by the British Arts Council

In case you missed it last week, The British Arts Council shared on YouTube an in depth interview with live cinema pioneers The Light Surgeons about their current documentary SuperEverything* which took them to Malaysia to collaborate with local musicians and visual artists.

On a personal note, the work of TLS was my first introduction to modern VJing that skillfully incorporated the idea of story telling with audio / video performance and they've yet to disappoint since. A few years ago I had a rare privilege to spend a few very educational weekends observing Chris and Tim when they visited Troy, NY to make the piece 'True Fictions'.

If you're unfamiliar with the work of the Light Surgeons, or just looking for some inspiration, take the tour of featured performances on their website.

They've also just launched a new website for SuperEverything* which now touring in the UK.

We'll be doing a follow up with Chris and Tim in the next few weeks as they get ready for the next round of live shows, if you have any questions for them send them our way by email.
